Flood Damage Help Needed. Our soccer/baseball/softball field was destroyed by almost 6 feet of water from the Eno River as a result of the Chantal storm.  There was no loss of life related to our fields but there is a loss to the community. All our fencing is gone, the majority of our lighting, our field maintenance equipment, sports equipment, concession stand coolers, and refrigerator.  We had just graded and seeded our fields and were in the process of expanding our playing surface by moving our light poles and putting up new lights.  ALL of it is gone including the light poles! In 2021, I was asked to try to bring back youth sports to this area.  Many of the small non-profit programs had closed down.  My wife and I took over running Holt Athletic Association (HAA) and we started with building back our basketball/volleyball program at our gym. 2022 started work on our fields and field house to bring back soccer. Fall of 2023 our soccer fields were open for business and several Schools that had no place to play/practice were using our fields. July 2025, the Eno River flooded as a result of the rains from Chantal. We are just two people in their 70's trying to help kids and this time we will need a lot of financial help to bring these fields back for the youth in our community. So, I am asking people to please consider donating financially if you are able to.  Any amount would be helpful and very much appreciated to bring this program back to our local youth. Fencing alone will cost an estimated $70,000 let alone replacing all the lights, electronic equipment, coolers and sports equipment.  As a small non-profit, we do not get Federal funding, we survive off of donations and rentals.  Our HAA soccer fields have been here for over 50 years and this was the worst flooding we have ever seen. Have you heard the Great News!!!

Youth basketball league for ages 6 through 17 (You cannot turn 18 prior to December 13, 2026). We are open to both boys and girls of all experience levels. Registration in ages 6 through 17 for both boys and girls.

Program Duration: Practices will start December 2026

Regular season will run from December 12, 2026 through February 21, 2027

EVERYBODY plays Every Game.

All games will be held on Saturdays at the Holt Athletic Association Gym (HAA) located at 201 Milton Road, Durham NC 27712.

Practices will most likely be held on Fridays evenings, after the games on Saturdays or Sundays after 12:00, currently depending on the coach and gym time availability. Practices start in November after evaluations.

There will be 8 regular season games. The tournament may be held during the week following the last game.  Game times will be announced once we know the number of teams/players that register.

League is open to all boys and girls ages 6 through 17.  Depending on the number of registrations, teams and age groups may be adjusted.
